Mental Health Stigma

Our society places a lot of value on being able to move forward, stay positive and not let things get you down but we also need to pay attention and take time to care for our own well-being. We all know that when there is a major physical injury, it can take time to heal. There is no shame in making the effort to engage in much needed physical therapy, consulting medical professionals and giving our body time to heal. We know that this can take real work to improve our lifestyle and rebuild our strength in weakened areas. It takes self awareness to recognize when our emotional and mental well being is in need of attention. The next step requires the courage to take action.
